UCSF and John Muir Health are developing a network of cancer care centers and services designed to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients throughout the east bay. The cancer network will provide distinguished disease-specific treatment capabilities, expanded clinical trial enrollment and precision medicine offerings.
Our cancer network began with the UCSF-John Muir Health Cancer Center in Berkeley, which opened in February 2020.
Central to the UCSF-John Muir Health cancer network is the development of a world-class cancer center, opening on the John Muir Health, Walnut Creek Medical Center campus in February 2024, which will offer comprehensive services. These include radiation oncology treatments, an infusion center, access to clinical trials, genetic counseling, nurse navigators, support services and additional diagnostic and treatment services in a patient centered environment.
