John Muir Health’s Neuropsychology Services offers neuropsychological evaluations in an ethical, nurturing, and supportive manner for adults and older adults. Evaluations help assist individuals, families, and treating providers with diagnosis, treatment, and care needs.
Tests are designed to identify cognitive weaknesses in specific areas. They are sensitive to mild memory and thinking problems that might not be obvious in other ways. Testing can help determine whether memory changes are normal age-related changes or if they reflect a neurological disorder. Testing can also be used to identify problems related to medical conditions that often affect memory and thinking such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, and multiple sclerosis.
